WINES: This weekend’s tasting lineup:

1. 2005 Cannonball Cabernet Sauvignon (CA) - what a great value Cabernet Sauvignon from California under 15 dollars a bottle. Our price is $12.99 and has the problem of staying on our shelves. We keep making the mistake of telling people about it. They try, they like it, they buy it. Imagine that. This wine is perfect for your everyday cab needs. Big and bold black cherry/wild berry flavors integrated nicely with notes of chocolate and oak, the texture is rich and the finish is satisfying. The Cannonball is sure to make a splash at your next event. Come down, taste it and make it happen.
2. Domaine Coussergues Viognier (FR) - from the south of France, an excellent value at $9.99 . The wine underwent aging in both tanks and barrels. The clear yellow color is a reflection of the intense and fruity bouquet of apricot and pear, white flowers, and liquorice nuances. It is a supple and well balanced wine with abundant fruit flavors. Excellent with seafood, lobsters, and Asian food.
